As part of the NWAW Gallery Open House, please join Gavlak Gallery for a conversation in conjunction with José Alvarez's eighth exhibition at Gavlak Gallery, Elegy for the Venezuelan Exile, on view through Dec 12, 2022. José Alvarez (D.O.P.A.) and Rosario Güiraldes, Associate Curator at The Drawing Center, will discuss the artist's new series of works, the use of art as a tool to represent loss, and the transcendence of personal and collective narratives through beauty
